STUDENT MINISTRY
Our Purpose

At Wadsworth UMC we strive to provide meaningful connections with youth (5th -12th grade) through large and small group interactions. We walk alongside students on their journey of life and faith, helping them develop natural rhythms of discipleship.
What does discipleship look like for a teen? Discipleship is the process of becoming more like Jesus - living a life of purpose and love at home, at school and in community with others.
We are Family!
Our Core Values
CARE is what teens need most - to know that the adults surrounding them genuinely care for them. It is the ultimate expression of God's love for us and is the pathway to a fulfilled life (John 10:10).
We hope to pique CURIOSITY in students, exposing them to the love of God via practical and creative measures, so that they might connect with God and others in unique ways.
Fostering an environment of Christ-centered relational COMMUNITYis key. We seek to break down intergenerational barriers, so that students can engage with parents, adults and leaders in safe spaces. A life of faith is not meant to be lived in isolation but in community together.
CHALLENGE is where we experience growth. It is in these spaces where students discover their passions and purpose allowing them to bloom.

THE PARENT GROUP MEETS AFTER THE MEAL AT THE SAME TIME AS THE YOUTH GROUP. IT HAS BECOME A SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR PARENTS WITH HONEST DIALOGUE ABOUT THE CHALLENGES OF RAISING YOUTH IN THE MODERN AGE.
